Pocketbook Era Lite Vs Era - Specs Compared
The Pocketbook Era was designed as a premium e-reader. The new Era Lite is a device focused on better reading experience at a lower price by using a newer E Ink Carta 1300 recessed display while cost cutting on some features.
The biggest differences lie in their hardware. The original Era offers a more premium experience with a flush glass screen, aluminum accents, IPX8 waterproofing, 64GB of storage, a built in speaker, and USB-C audio support. The Era Lite, meanwhile, replaces the older Carta 1200 flush display with a newer recessed Carta 1300 screen that delivers better contrast and reduced glare, while also being lighter and more affordable. To achieve its lower price, PocketBook reduced storage to 16GB, downgraded water resistance to IPX4, and removed the speaker and wired audio support.
